VOID
What the VOID token is, where it trades, how to hold it privately in voidcash, and how half of voidcash's HYPE fees buy it and burn it.
VOID is voidcash's token: an ordinary ERC-20 named voidcash, with the symbol VOID and 18 decimals, launched on
Elysium with a supply of 1,000,000,000.
Its address is 0xD31B21Cb80E431AC996269deC31A40fCf048B77f.
You do not need VOID
Everything in voidcash works with HYPE alone, and every private action pays its gas in HYPE. Holding VOID gives no claim on the vault or on the HYPE inside it.
VOID's role is the burn: half of every HYPE fee that voidcash collects buys VOID and destroys it.
Hold VOID privately
VOID is a token the vault lists, so you can also keep it in private notes, like HYPE. In the app, pick VOID with the asset button in the amount field:
| Action | How it works for VOID |
|---|---|
| Shield | An approval, then the shield: two transactions from your wallet, from one press of Approve and shield VOID. No fee. |
| Send privately | To an address with a registered privacy key. No fee; the gas comes from one of your private HYPE notes. |
| Unshield | 1% exit fee, kept in VOID and paid to the team. With the limits set when this page was written, an exit above 5,000,000 VOID, or above the cap of 25,000,000 VOID per 24-hour window, waits 24 hours. |
- Keep some HYPE shielded. Moving VOID privately pays its gas from a private HYPE note.
- Payment links and private addresses carry HYPE only. Send VOID to an address.
- The app does not trade VOID. Buying and selling happen on Volta. Shield VOID you already hold, and unshield it to an address before you trade it.
- VOID's exit fees are not burned. They go to the team, in VOID. The burn is fed by HYPE exit fees and by Volta's buyback.
Where it trades
VOID launched on Volta, a launchpad on Elysium built on Flaunch's contracts. It trades on one Uniswap v4 pool against native HYPE, from its first block:
| Contract | Address |
|---|---|
| Token | 0xD31B21Cb80E431AC996269deC31A40fCf048B77f |
| Pool's hook (Volta's PositionManager) | 0x3aB88DDc3CF2A012af88B60828edb4553697E5dC |
| PoolManager | 0xE2e105d3F7209A9DA11f83cCf3E7398a753823F1 |
| Pool id | 0xe488e93cba1cbbb1493d898a4f352571d0d96ddc4902f5449d07ad33ee34ee08 |
| Swap fee | 1% of every trade, fixed for the life of the pool |
VOID's page on Volta is https://volta.family/token/ followed by the token address above. The voidcash wallet links
to it under Trade VOID on Volta, with the address to check.
Anyone can launch a token with the same name and symbol. Before you trade, check that the token's address is the one above.
How VOID is burned
VOID is burned in two ways.
By voidcash's fee collector. The vault sends its exit fees, and the gas that private operations paid and did not
use, to the fee collector, 0x145618DF0662dCd38a2Cf2AC4d24Dfe1FC8A4991. The collector splits what arrives in half: one half goes to the
team, the other buys VOID on its pool and sends it to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD, an address
nobody can spend from. It buys in small steps, at most one buy every 12 seconds and each moving the price by at most
0.5%. See Fees.
By Volta's buyback. Every trade of VOID pays Volta's 1% swap fee. Volta keeps 30% of it; of the rest, half goes to
the holder of VOID's creator NFT (the team) and half to a buyback. The buyback's share waits in Volta's FeeVault,
0xB074897161E8b00d97d3F4163f73de12f7B8f4Ba, until Volta's executor spends it on VOID and destroys it, which lowers VOID's total supply. Only
Volta's operators run the executor; Volta's documentation says it runs once a pool has collected 0.01 HYPE, and at
most every 10 minutes.
Check the burned total
The Analytics page of the app shows:
- VOID burned: everything burned or sent to
0x…dEaD, by every route; - Burned from exit fees: what the fee collector bought and burned, and the HYPE it spent;
- Burned by Volta's buyback: what Volta's buyback burned, and the HYPE waiting in its share;
- To the team: the team's half of what reached the fee collector.
You can also read it from the chain, on the explorer or with any RPC client:
burned in total = (1,000,000,000 − VOID's totalSupply()) + VOID's balanceOf(0x…dEaD)
burned by the fee collector = totalBurned() on the fee collectorThe first term counts Volta's buybacks, which lower the supply; the second counts what was sent to 0x…dEaD, which
includes every burn by the fee collector. Each of the collector's burns also emits a Burned event with the HYPE spent
and the VOID burned.
What depends on Volta
The vault's HYPE does not depend on VOID or on Volta: shielding, private sends and exits of HYPE work whatever happens to the market. Private VOID depends on the VOID token contract, as any holding of VOID does. If Volta's contracts stopped working, only the burns would stop, and the HYPE meant for burning would wait in the fee collector.
Volta's owner controls who runs its buyback, and can name a keeper of the FeeVault able to withdraw the pending buyback share. So the part of the swap fee meant for Volta's buyback is in Volta's hands until its executor spends it. The fee collector's HYPE is not: nobody can take what it has set aside for burning. See Trust model.
